Next Level Exteriors
Pergolas / Patio Covers / Outdoor Shade

Shade structures built to live under, not to look at.

Custom-engineered for Utah snow loads. Cedar, composite, or aluminum. Lighting, fans, retractable canopies. Permits handled.

Why this matters

Utah summers are brutal on a south-facing deck. By 2 PM you're driven inside. A properly engineered pergola changes a deck from a place you walk through into the room you use every day. We don't build kits. Every pergola is engineered to your deck's load, the prevailing wind direction, the sun angle, and your HOA's rules.

01
Snow-load engineered.

Every pergola gets stamped engineering for its elevation and span. Kit pergolas are not rated for Wasatch snow.

02
Three material paths.

Cedar, composite, or aluminum. Each has its place. We talk you through it.

03
Fully integrated.

Lighting, fans, retractable canopies, privacy screens. Wired and finished, not bolted on later.

FAQ

Common questions about this build.

How do you engineer for Utah snow loads?+

Every pergola and patio cover we build gets stamped engineering specific to the elevation, snow load zone, and span. We don't use kit pergolas. They are not rated for Wasatch snow.

Can you add a pergola to an existing deck?+

Usually yes. We inspect the existing substructure first. If the deck framing can carry the additional load and lateral force, we anchor in. If not, we reinforce or recommend a separate pergola footing.

Do you handle the building permit?+

Yes. We pull every permit and schedule every inspection. You don't talk to the city.

How long does a deck take to build?+

Most decks finish in 5 to 10 working days. Larger outdoor rooms with pergolas and lighting can run 10 to 15 days.

In their words
"We absolutely love our new deck! Jake and his crew were so easy to work with because they are knowledgeable and professional. We started out small but decided to go big! There were no surprises and it was done in just over a week, several days before the deadline we had given them."
